Businesses have to meet their bottom line. Now they can do it by putting their roof to work. A smorgasbord of federal and state incentives allow businesses to see a 3 to 16 year ROI on solar. And most of this is money that would simply go towards taxes anyway.
Washington Commercial Incentives
Time is of the essence. As Mike Nelson of the NW Solar Center said at the Goldendale RE Seminar, “there has never been a better time to go solar.” This is especially true for businesses. The US Senate removed renewables from the energy bill. The 30% commercial federal tax credit that businesses now enjoy expires at the end of 2008. Systems have to be installed and producing power before sunset on December 31’st or no tax credit. Of course we are all hoping for a new energy bill but this is how the law stands.
